1964 Chevrolet Corvette

We get a lot of mid-year Corvettes here at Carroll Street. We love these cars and so do our customers. This 1964 Silver Blue roadster is a good reason why, what with its combination of iconic looks, gorgeous condition, thrilling performance and awesome sound! Originally a 327/300 car, this Corvette received a big block transplant while it was given a comprehensive restoration. Something of a light restomod, it saw a few other upgrades in addition to the big block engine such as the fitment of front disc brakes (as you likely know, 1964s had drum brakes all around) and handsome knock-off-style wheels. The impressively straight body (we don't think we've ever seen such even shut lines on a mid-year!) was given a high-quality respray in the original (code 912) Silver Blue hue, which is nicely complimented by those knock-offs wearing whitewall radials as well as beautiful chrome and stainless-steel trim. A color matched hardtop in excellent condition as well as a brand new soft top (just installed) both go with the car. The underside must be seen as it earns our "lasagna car" status, meaning it is so clean that we'd gladly eat our Sunday pasta off of it. Inside, you'll notice the original, optional leather seats are in good condition. Other options on this C2 include an AM/FM radio that was professionally rebuilt. The instrument panel and gauges are in fine condition and that correct white upholstery looks great with the Corvette's exterior color. Corvette fans will notice this '64 is wearing a '65-'66-style big-block hood (the original flat hood goes with the car) as well as 396 fender badges. Not a poser, the car sports a fully rebuilt 1965 396 V8 under that bulging hood. Equipped with dual quads (Holley 500s) as well as other upgrades such as roller rockers, a mild cam and Magnaflow exhaust, the stout big block makes plenty of power -- over 400 horsepower according to the former owner/restorer. We've driven the car and can confidently state that that seems like a safe estimate! All that power goes to the Positraction rear end through a rebuilt, slick-shifting Muncie M20 4-speed gearbox. The suspension and power steering are tight and the manual front disc/rear drum brakes stop the car with confidence. Simply put, the fully-sorted Corvette is a blast to drive. All included with this car, but the engine pad was decked during the rebuild of the cars engine. The cast date is within 30 days of the build date of this Corvette.
