1967 Buick Skylark

Something of an upscale cousin to its Chevy and Pontiac midsize platform mates, Buick’s Skylark packs plenty of style and performance and is something of a rare treat. Of course, a convertible version just adds to the fun factor of cruising around in something you don’t see at every car show. Here we have a 1967 Skylark convertible that’s been very well maintained throughout its life. It still retains its numbers-matching powertrain and we’d rate it as a high-quality driver that you’d be proud to take to a Cars and Coffee event. This car is loaded with options, including power steering, power brakes, power windows and A/C. The A/C is not working but the compressor does spin freely. An aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette audio system resides where the old AM radio used to be. Wearing a quality respray in the original Sapphire Blue hue, this Skylark looks fantastic with its white convertible top and chrome Buick Rally wheels wearing Hancook radial white walls. The body is straight and solid, and the underside is likewise in fine shape. Inside, rather than a boring bench this Skylark has buckets along with the rare center consolette. From the convertible top down to the carpet, the Skylark’s interior is in very nice condition. An original style aftermarket steering wheel features aluminum spokes and a thickly padded rim. Under the hood, the original 340 V8 sports a 4-barrel carb and dual exhaust that runs through a smooth-shifting automatic. Having been through our shop, the Buick is well-sorted and as a result the Skylark runs and drives (and sounds) great.
