1971 Ford Bronco

First-generation Ford Broncos (1966-1977) have been red hot in the classic car market for a while now, and their appeal is as strong as ever. The simple yet pure design, amazing off-road ability, compact and easy to maneuver size and fun-to-drive demeanor all contribute to these rugged SUVs’ massive popularity. Here we have a 1971 Bronco that’s a rock-solid example ready to give its next owner tons of fun. Originally finished in Regis Red, the SUV has had a nice, driver-quality respray in Medium Blue. Note that the arrow-straight body panels are all original as is the clean underside, testament to the great care the Bronco has received since it rolled out of the showroom. A mild (2.5-inch) lift kit along with a set of 31-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires mounted on white spoker wheels provides a great stance as well as increased off-road capability. Note that in addition to the bikini soft top, this Bronco also comes with a white hard top. Inside, other than the driver’s armrest, the interior is in very good condition. The dash/dash top, seats and floors all look great. A roll bar, a center console/storage unit and a high-output digital sound system have all been added to increase safety, convenience, and fun. The original, numbers-matching 302 V8 engine and 3-speed manual (“3-on-the-tree”) transmission are here. As the Bronco has been properly maintained, it runs, drives, turns and stops very well. Although we can’t legally claim it for certain, given the overall condition of the Bronco we believe the 81,709 miles that are showing on the odometer to be the actual mileage. A binder full of documentation, including the owner’s manual and original certificate of title from New Mexico, goes with the Bronco.
